I'm On "Watch Me Create"

Have you visited the blog, Watch Me Create?

It's the brain child of Lori Greenberg, which is a collaborative blog written by a variety of bead artists and jewelry makers who write about their creative processes.

I recently wrote a post about baking glass pie beads and how I came up with the changes in this slice of apple pie a la mode with caramel sauce. (mmm...)

I have to say, a major influence is one of my favorite current television shows, "Pushing Daisies". Their creativity and quick banter really hold my interest.

So what are your favorite pies and desserts? What would you like to see as beads? I love hearing your ideas.

  1. Marcy, this would be a tough one, but if anyone can do it, you can. Here's my challenge to you, make rhubarb pie into a bead and make it look appetizing. I love the flavor of rhubarb, but it doesn't look appetizing.

  2. Oh yum, that pie bead looks absolutely delicious!

My favorite deserts are hot fudge sundaes and pumpkin pie smothered in whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. ...and now I really am hungry. Thanks, Marcy. ;)

  3. Hi Marcy,
When it comes to dessert it's hard to pick a favorite, but I love lemon so how about a slice of lemon meringue pie (with the peaks slightly browned) or a yummy lemon square?!...Oh, and I love watching "Pushing Daisies" too!

  4. Have you seen "the waitress?" It has the most FUN pies in it!! And their names are HILARIOUS!

I Hate My Husband Pie... You take bittersweet chocolate and don't sweeten it. You make it into a pudding and drown it in caramel

I Can't Have No Affair Because It's Wrong And I Don't Want Earl To Kill Me Pie... Vanilla custard with banana. Hold the banana.

Now THOSE could be some crazy beads!!
