The biggest change is that the blog doesn't get wider and skinnier depending on how far you open it, the way it used to. I have a big screen on my laptop and had wondered whether it bothered you a bit when reading it before.
So I need your honest opinion, please. Keep this new style, go back to the old style? What makes it easier to read?
Thanks- I know you all are the experts...and some days, we just need expert advice. Now, I've got to get back to my torch. Lots to do to get ready for my upcoming month of craziness.
Happy Summer! Wishing you sunny days and gorgeous evenings filled with night songs and lightning bugs.
I like your new format Marcy. It works for me & still say's 'Marcy' when I look at it.
ReplyDeleteI too resisted change until a few days ago. I liked using the whole width of the screen so people didn't have to scroll down so far & basically keeping it simple & in keeping with my beads somehow ( quite plain & organic).
On the other hand I've admired the beautiful design templates offered specifically for blogs, but I d find that blogs that use those seem to take ages to load & not scroll that smoothly.
Bloggers new design function has made it easy to change for a while & then change back if we want to.
Hiya Marcy
ReplyDeleteI like the change! Looks fresh, tidy and had a modern look about it. Must be something in the air though - revamped mine about a week ago too. Liz
Hi Marcy,
ReplyDeleteI'm not too sure about the new colors either, but the layout is wonderful! This format can look lost on a large screen, but a lot of people use laptops and the variable width format sometimes doesn't flow as well on the smaller screens. I like the change - looking good!
I like the colors and the look of it, but the post/words on the R. hand side bothers me. We start a page of texted in the upper left hand corner, so it feels off to me.
