Blue Bee, Or Not Blue Bee...That Is The Question

Belinda is a bee of a different color. She loves standing out in a crowd, or should I say "swarm". How perfect is that. There are just some bees who are meant for fame and fortune.

Belinda got this way from one of her vices. No, it isn't shopping for make up or shoes, but over eating does play a part. She loves blueberries. While everyone else is out hitting the pollen and bringing a little sumpin' back to the Queen, she's floating around the blueberry bushes snacking away.

Belinda is currently being featured in my etsy shop, www.studiomarcy.etsy.com
I'm still having my Buy One, Get the Second Lower Priced One 1/2 Off SALE. (BOGO 1/2 OFF SALE). Good through midnight Tuesday of this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

BOGO 1/2 OFF SALE Still Going!

I'm excited to see the response to my BOGO 1/2 OFF SALE. I've been madly torching and adding more beads to restock my shop.

Here's one of my new lampwork glass focals. It's a butterfly with lovely transparent wings. It looks great against a light colored blouse, or even floating in the window as a small suncatcher. All the colors look so pretty with the sun behind them.

My sale continues through this Tuesday and I've got more beads in the kiln right now. Guess I'd better get off the computer and get back to my studio!

Thanks for stopping by,
Marcy

Stanford, the Alien Spaceman Hottie

Meet the Brad Pitt of the Alien world. This is Stanford who has been whitening his teeth for the last month and wants everyone to see his movie star look. Not every alien is this lucky. He has adopted babies from many of the other planets and is going to be starring in a new movie, "Galaxies 11". It just doesn't get any better than that.

Thanks for visiting us. More views of Stanford can be seen in my etsy shop, www.StudioMarcy.etsy.com

Peony the Flower Baby

There's something about this baby that just makes me smile. Maybe it's my friends becoming grandmothers or my nieces and nephews having babies, but I'm just more interested in them recently.

You can find Peony in my etsy shop, www.StudioMarcy.etsy.com

I'm Famous...Well, Not Yet

Bee excited for me! I"m the first featured interviewee on the IndiePath blog. I've been enjoying their blog, with all their shopping and fun item tips. But now, it's even more fun to see some of my beads there, and be the first.

Note to self..tell Mom, she'll be proud.

If you want to see some beads that haven't been in my shop before and learn exciting information about me, like what I had for breakfast, (don't worry, I'm kidding),

Here's a New Favorite. A Leaf Baby

There are days when I'm happy with what comes out of my kiln and days when I'm just feeling "off". Here is one of my "on" days' results. It's a little Leaf Baby that I recently made. I love the little green pajamas and the leaves around her chubby cheeked face and even the pointed elfin cap. And perhaps I am a big fan of "green" also.

So here's one of my latest designs. You'll be seeing more of her and her friends in the future.

Seamus

Here's Seamus and his bead. I think the real dog is precious. I sure enjoy making these custom beads for the owners, because they're so delighted.

Although now I need to get back into my other silly bead mode. I've made some fun bugs and creatures and even have a sock monkey that needs to join my etsy shop.

thanks for visiting,
Marcy

Another Pet- Meet Picasso

Here's Picasso. He's another pet focal bead that I just completed yesterday. He's a show dog and so cute. I also made his buddy, ClaireBeth who is just as adorable. Their "mom" is another etsy seller, Terry of CrashIntoEwe.

Have a great weekend,
Marcy

Ballerina Boo!

This is Yvette the dancing ballerina ghost. She's light on her feet and is thrilled that she doesn't have to wear those tight toe shoes anymore. Wearing her pink tutu, she's ready for practice or Halloween, whichever comes first.

Meet Bailey, The New Dog On The Block

Meet Bailey. She's a new type of dog that I"m adding to my pet shop on etsy. www.studiomarcy.etsy.com I think she's some type of terrier, but I'm not sure. If you have seen a puppy who looks like her, please let me know what breed she is. All I know is that she's about an inch tall and ready for adoption.

Flower Baby - No Pruning Necessary

I love little kids in footsie pajamas as well as flowers. I guess it was time to combine both into this sculptural lampwork glass bead. Looks like something a new parent would dress their child in for their first Halloween costume.

Happy Weekend,
Marcy

Natural Enemies? They're Both Doing Just Fine.

My computer is currently residing on my kitchen table next to the window, where I've attached a hummingbird feeder. So everyday, while I'm uploading my etsy offerings, or working on the photography, I can see outside.

It made me smile yesterday when I was posting this new kitty to my etsy shop and watching the hummingbird at the same time.
It seems rather special to be 3 feet away from the hummingbird. The kitty, well, I'm always a lot closer than that.

Thought you might enjoy the photo. Nothing like a little nature really up close. Perhaps you'll see StudioMarcy style hummingbird lampwork beads next?

Road Trip Time

It's Labor Day Weekend and that means a road trip for us. It's time to go see that guy in the photo..Grant. He's my fun loving son in college. This summer he visited some of his buddies in Wyoming who have an ice cream truck. Wouldn't that be fun? Get hungry and head for your driveway with a truck full of assorted ice creams?

So, I'll see you in a day or two. We have a full schedule on this trip. Eating barbecue at his favorite place across the street from his house, hitting a few of his favorite joints that have bands, oh, I remember those days.

And when I return, I will be posting more of my beads that are in the kiln right now, both here and in my etsy shop, www.StudioMarcy.etsy.com
